Moving is never just about the boxes. It's about the memories tucked between layers of bubbly wrap and the chapters you never thought you'd have to close. As we prep to move our family-and our beloved business-across the country from Washington to South Carolina, we're finding ourselves in this surreal space between gratitude and exhaustion, holding on while letting go.

The logistics alone have been wild. Between booking travel back for our remaining Washington weddings, scheduling sessions, editing galleries, and sorting through what stays, what ships, and what gets donated, we're living in a very real mix of spreadsheets and suitcases. And it's not just our family making the move-Georgie and her husband are coming too! Coordinating two full families, one photography business, and one very fluffy service dog? Whew. We deserve a trophy...or at least a VERY strong chai.

And then there's the hard part. Helping our kids understand why their rooms are in boxes, why we're hugging friends for longer, and why mom's eyes are a little glassier these days. They're brave and curious, excited for palm trees and warm beaches-but also tender about what we're leaving behind. It's a lot for little hearts (and big ones too).

Saying goodbye has been, hands down, the hardest part. Our vendors here aren't just collaborators-they're community. The florist who always saves us the best blooms, the makeup artist who makes our brides glow (inside and out), the venues that feel like second homes. And our clients? Don't even get us started. We've laughed together, cried together, grown together. Some of you started as strangers and ended up in our group chats. The last sessions we've been shooting here have come with misty eyes and extra-long hugs-and we're not okay about it.

As we prepare to relaunch in South Carolina, we're also refreshing our brand to reflect this new season. Think more Spanish moss, soft sunlight, coastal charm-and still feel the same big-hearted, emotional storytelling we're known for. We're dreaming up new favorite spots and getting excited to meet the next generation of Moon+Palm couples and families.

Planting roots somewhere new takes time, but we're walking into this chapter with full hearts and open hands. We know we'll find our people again-the venues that feel like magic, the clients who just get it, the vendors who show up with snacks and sparkle.

Washington, thank you for being our beginning. South Carolina, we're ready for you!
