A Big Day for a Big Personality
My absolute favorite thing about being a photographer are my repeat clients. My clients that come back day after day, year after year and allow me the great honor of documenting the many twists and turns that life takes them. This session is just one of the many families that give me this honor. I have been fortunate enough to document this sweet young couple many times now, and jumped with excitement at the opportunity to do so for such an important milestone; a graduation!
When Georgie came to me about taking her graduation portraits I leapt at the chance. This was no ordinary graduation session either, for Georgie's personality knows no limits and therefore I was challenged to capture all of her personality. She wanted colors and a happy vibrancy to her photos that can only be achieved by stepping out of the box, and out of the box we leapt!
We started on her campus, capturing all the classic images cherished by families for years to come. After the campus, we headed across town to a local lupine field, and made it just in time for a beautiful golden sunset and deep purple lupines in full bloom. Towards the end we had the ingenious idea to toss her mannequin head instead of her cap and the result was an iconic image full of personality, joy, and pride. The result of this session were timeless images full of big personality and a pride and joy for graduating cosmetology school.
