Some moments don't just make your heart skip a beat-they stop time. They crack open your ribcage, pour in a little magic, and leave you breathless in the best way. And if you've ever listened to Hozier's yell of love and devotion- then you know exactly the kind of moment we're talking about.

This past year, we've stood in snow-kissed forests and summer heatwaves, on mountain cliffs and courthouse steps, documenting love in its rawest, funniest, and most gut-punchingly beautiful forms. We've been witness to surprise proposals, love letters that wrecked us, dogs in flower crowns, and couples who danced like nobody was watching (but thank god we were).

So in honor of the moments that made us cry behind the camera, gasp mid-shot, or nearly drop our gear from laughing-here are ten moments that felt like Hozier's yell. A little wild, a little holy, and 100% unforgettable.

Let's count 'em down!

The Williams Wedding

Picture this: You've just walked down the aisle, you're hand in hand with the love of your life, when your dad pulls out the mother of all surprises: A performance with his band he has not sang with in over twenty years. Cue the tears as everyone in the crowd gasped and the Bride soaked in this emotion filled moment. Definitely one for the books.

Raquel

Helping this beauty reconnect with her family and cultural was such a special moment for us. Donned with her mother's wedding jewelry, her saree from prom, and a desire to get more in touch with both her grandma and culture, she braved the chilly sunrise and discovered she's much more like her grandma than she originally thought. A spitting image of her actually. It's absolutely such a special feeling watching clients discover new-and old-things about themselves.

Yadon-Smith Wedding

The father-daughter dance that brought tears to every guest's eyes, and certainly brought more than one to ours as well. Dakota and her dad, who unfortunately isn't doing well and doesn't have much time left with us here earth-side. Knowing that, Dakota+Daniel altered their elopement plans to through a winter wonderland wedding in time for Dad to be able to walk his little girl down the aisle, and to make sure they had this moment together. watching them twirl around the dance floors, watery smiles painted on their faces and tears in their eyes, it was a vivid reminder of how fleeting life really is.

Lauren & Garrit

This elopement was a magical day. A day that was supposed to be nothing but cold weather, heavy clouds, and storm putting a damper on the day. Nevertheless, the couple committed rain or shine-they were ready to shout their "I Do's" amidst the mountain peaks. Mother Nature showed her favor for love stories however, and just as we got to our location, the rain died down, the clouds rolled away, and the sun smiled down upon these adorable newlyweds!

Madi & Coleman

What deserves a yell like Hozier's more than witnessing two high school sweethearts saying a private "I Do" on the same beach they used as their "spot" during high school? Madi and Coleman braved a cold wet day to re-explore areas they spent as kids now as adults and newlyweds. How magical and special can an elopement get?

Caitlyn

This birthday queen wanted to celebrate in style-and style she did by taking us all the way out to Mt. Skagit for their world-renowned daffodil fields. Dressed like a princess, we romped and played in the rows of vivid blooms! With the field all to ourselves, it felt like a little secret fantasy land all our own.

BonnieSue & Aiden

BonnieSue and Aiden showed up for their fall session with one major surprise...SNOW! Instead of calling it quits and planning for warmer weather (or warmer outfits), this couple embraced the wild that is Washington and dove headfirst into their impromptu snow session filled with frosty kisses, cozy snuggles, and an overflowing love.

The Davis Wedding

In the age of epic bridal first dances, The Davis's takes the cake. Nestled in their family's charming Whidbey Island's farm. Veronika and Mike's big day was full of family traditions, cultural traditions, good food, and memories to last a lifetime. Color us surprised when during the happy couple's first dance they incorporated a lift, but not just ANY lift. The bride hoisted her new husband up in the air and let him live his fairy best life with a spin to boot! A moment the couple, the guests, and we DEFINITELY won't be forgetting anytime soon.

Hannah & Ben

Can you believe five minutes before Hannah and Ben's engagement session that it was absolutely pouring down rain? Thankfully the skies cleared up just in time for their session and Mother Nature blessed us with an absolutely soul melting sunset.

Alannah & Tymur

Something about Myrtle Falls at Mount Rainier National Park strikes nothing but awe into us. With views like these, and a love like Alannah's and Tymur's, it's hard NOT to be impressed!

And there you have it-our top ten moments that felt like a love song screamed into the void and echoed back tenfold. These were the kinds of days that reminded us why we do this work. Not just for the pretty photos (though, let's be honest, the lighting was doing the most), but for the stories, the surprises, the soul-shaking quiets and chaos. For the couples who wear their hearts on their sleeves and let us step inside their once-in-a-lifetime days.

If this past year was any indication, love is alive, unhinged, and louder than ever-and we'll be here, camera in hand, ready to feel it all.
